I recently turned 30. I definitely survived. Actually, it is not as bad as I expected it. And many reasons why being 30 is not that bad comes from chick flicks. The more I watch them the more life lessons I learn. With time I do get a little bit wiser. I’m not saying that I ace every situation, all the time, but now I do figure some stuff out too.
However, I couldn’t have gotten here without the guidance and stumbles and occasional downfalls of the many fictional women I’ve seen in chick flicks. Apparently, not all morals seen in chick flicks are advised to be taken to heart. But the very best of them offer lessons for a lifetime. So take them! I gathered “The 30 Best Chick Flicks of All Time.” I consciously made this list a subjective one. I wanted to share with you my top pickings, my 30 best chick flicks and the 30 lessons I learned in my 30 years.

Life Lesson Learned: You need a remedy for the “mean reds.” There are those days when you are plain angry or scared, and you are incapable of pinning down exactly what’s bothering you. Whether it is reading a good book, ordering takeaway food or watching a chick flick, life’s better when you know what to do when the “mean reds” attack. For Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn), a young New York socialite, the best remedy is a visit to Tiffany’s jewellery store. What’s your solution to the “mean reds”?
